Theatre Questions
Q: What time should I get to the theatre?
We advise being at the theatre 45-30 minutes before the start of the performance. Theatres normally open one hour before the performance.
Q: Is there a dress code at any of the theatres?
No. Though most people will dress smart-casual. The only exception would be for opening nights, press nights or gala performances where more formal attire is expected. Some shows may require a dress code but that will be displayed on their show listing.
Q: Can children go to the theatre?
Each performance is different so please check before booking. Most performances are at least recommended for 6+. However, the minimum age can be anything from 3-16 years old. All patrons must have a purchased seat and cannot sit on anyone’s lap. Children under 16 MUST be accompanied by an adult over the age of 18 and cannot sit separately.
Q: What can I bring to the theatre?
You can bring a small bag generally, however you should store any luggage and big bags before you arrive and most of the theatre are old and therefore do not have cloakrooms. You cannot bring outside food and drink into the venue.
