Young Frankenstein opens at the Garrick Theatre

07 Oct 2017

From the genius of EGOT winner Mel Brooks, the new comedy musical Young Frankenstein comes to life at the Garrick Theatre in London’s West End with official opening night on Tuesday 10th October.

Based on the 1974 legendary film with Gene Wilder, Young Frankenstein has been adapted into an all-singing all-dancing musical by its creator Mel Brooks (book, music and lyrics) and his loyal collaborators Thomas Meehan (book) and Susan Stroman (director and choreographer), thus reuniting the creative team behind the multi-award winning musical The Producers.

Re-imagining Mary Shelley’s classic, Young Frankenstein sees brain surgeon and professor Dr. Frederick Frankenstein (Hadley Fraser), grandson of the infamous Victor Frankenstein, inherit a castle in Transylvania and embark on a journey that will lead him to fulfil his grandfather’s dream by bringing a corpse back to life. Helping Dr Frankenstein (pronounced Fronkensteen) in this hilarious and unpredictable adventure are the henchman Igor (Ross Noble), the voluptuous assistant Inga (Summer Strallen) and his fiancée Elizabeth (Dianne Pilkington).

Young Frankenstein is playing at the Garrick Theatre until 10th February 2018. Check the availability for cheap and discount tickets and go see this new West End musical now!
