Wicked new cast stars David Witts

25 Jul 2018

Smash hit musical Wicked welcomed new cast members on Monday 23rd July, including former EastEnders star David Witts in the role of Fiyero!

Taking over from Bradley Jaden, who is now playing Javert in Les Misérables, David Witts makes his West End debut by joining Alice Fearn (Elphaba) and Sophie Evans (Glinda) at the Apollo Theatre as carefree and spoiled Fiyero. Other major cast changes are Christ Jarman (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child) as Doctor Dillamond and Rosa O’Reilly who assumes the role of Nessarose after covering it last year. Continuing in their roles are Laura Pick (Standby for Elphaba), Carina Gillespie & Maria Coyne (Standby for Glinda), Melanie La Barrie (Madame Morrible), Andy Hockley (The Wizard) and Jack Lansbury (Boq).

The spellbinding West End musical tells the untold story of the friendship between Shiz University students Elphaba and Glinda, who will then be known as the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the God. The empowering tale of freedom, friendship and acceptance has been now playing at the Apollo Victoria for over 12 years and features musical theatre classics as ‘The Wizard And I’, ‘For Good’ and ‘Defying Gravity’.
