It’s cast change time for The Phantom of the
Opera in London’s West End! Tim Howar will take over the title role of the
Phantom from Ben Lewis on Monday 3rd September.
Tim Howar was recently seen in the West End in
Chess at the Coliseum alongside Michael Ball and previously at the Shaftesbury
in Rock of Ages. He’s now scheduled to play the Phantom until 8th
December. New additions to the cast include Kimberly Blake (Chess, Half A
Sixpence) as opera’s primadonna Carlotta and Ross Dawes (Girl From the North
Country, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory) as theatre manager Monsieur
Firmin. Jeremy Taylor and Kelly
Mathieson will continue in their roles of Raoul and Christine.
Webber’s most famous musical, The Phantom of the Opera has been playing at Her
Majesty’s Theatre in London’s West End since 9 October 1986. Telling the story
of the unrequited love of the Phantom for opera singer Christine, the show
features absolute musical theatre classics as “All I Ask of You”, “The Point of
No Return” and “The Music of the Night”.
