Alice Fearn and Sophie Evans to star in Wicked

Wicked UK announced the new cast who will defy gravity at the Apollo Victoria Theatre this Summer. Alice Fearn and Sophie Evans will play their first performance as the new West End Elphaba and Glinda on Monday 24 July 2017!

Alice Fearn, who is the current standby Elphaba, will now assume the role of the green girl alongside BBC One’s Over the Rainbow’s finalist Sophie Evans who will play Glinda. Also joining the cast are Bradley Jaden as Fiyero, Melanie La Barrie as Madame Morrible, Andy Hockley as The Wizard, Jack Lansbury as Boq and Laura Pick as Standby for Elphaba. Current cast members Martin Ball, Sarah McNicholas and Carina Gillespie will continue their roles of Doctor Dillamond, Nessarose and Standby for Glinda.

The final performance of the special 10th anniversary production cast of Wicked, led by the amazing Willemijn Verkaik as Elphaba and starring Suzie Mathers (Glinda), Oliver Savile (Fiyero), Sue Kelvin (Madame Morrible), Mark Curry (The Wizard) and Idriss Kargbo, will be on Saturday 22 July 2017.

Wicked is a magical and empowering tale of friendship and acceptance that tells the untold story of the characters created by Frank L. Baum in ‘The Wonderful Wizard of Oz’, Glinda The Good and The Wicked Witch of the West, featuring songs such as “The Wizard And I”, “For Good” and “Defying Gravity”.
