Priscilla Queen of the Desert, one of the freshest musicals to arrive in London. A drag queen embarks on a trip across Australia to perform a drag show in Alice Springs. Tick manages to convince Adam, also known as Felicia, and transsexual Bernadette to come along for the ride in a camper van known as Priscilla. Along the way, they meet an outrageous mix of characters, including a group of Swedish tourists and a load of outback dwellers in a country bar. They are not always met with open arms and face several bouts of homophobia. A kind mechanic takes a liking to Bernadette and fixes the van, deciding to ditch his mail-order bride and tag along with them. On arrival at Alice Springs, Tick reveals to the others that the owner of the resort they are performing at is his estranged wife and they are there as a favour to her. Not only that, he's got a son he hasn't seen in number of years, who doesn't know what his father does for a living. Father and son hit it off and the boy travels back to Sydney to spend some time with his father and give his mother a much needed break.
